Going on a vacation doesn’t always have to mean going broke after each trip. You can go on a fairly comfortable trip anywhere in the world with just the right amount of budget if you can just do it right. No more eating baguettes for days or staying in dingy inns just to spend less money. The trick is doing it by yourself. I mean no large, fieldtrip-type group because actually, these package-tour groups rob you money more than anything.

Research, research, research. Bring your own maps and map your own itinerary. If the areas of sights are near each other don’t hesitate to walk. Usually, it is when you are walking and seeing the place in a backpacker’s point of view that you feel and analyze it more. More observations can be made plus you might stumble upon some city actions such as parades or hidden bookshops that you wouldn’t see when you are cooped up in a tour bus.

Backpacking is a great way to enjoy a place. Be frugal. check out the sights, not the shops.
